The roots of our company date back to 1929, when Austin’s grandfather Warren Thompson of Mississippi was born. Growing up, Austin had the privilege of imbibing wisdom from his grandfather, gathering invaluable insights into horticulture and the natural world. Warren emerged as a prominent figure, serving as the Dean of Forestry at Mississippi State University. His impactful leadership significantly bolstered the university's global standing in forest resource education and research, culminating in the dedication of a campus building in his honor. Today, Austin attributes a substantial portion of his success to his grandfather's mentorship and guidance, acknowledging his seminal role in shaping his career trajectory within the industry.

Austin's enthusiasm for plants, horticulture, and nature has been a guiding force throughout his life's journey. Demonstrating a robust work ethic from an early age, he delved into lawn care at a mere 10 years old, kickstarting his entrepreneurial spirit by mowing lawns within his neighborhood. Quickly earning recognition and esteem, Austin dedicated years of diligent effort to expand his enterprise, assembling a team of like-minded individuals to enhance the array of services provided to clients. Together, Austin and Angel bring a hands-on approach to the day-to-day operations of Underhill Lawn Care. Both are full-time employees of the business and work closely to ensure that everything runs smoothly, from overseeing crews to ensuring regulatory compliance. Their complementary skills and shared vision drive the company’s success.

Before starting a family and transitioning into business ownership, Angel held a corporate leadership role and earned a degree in business management. As the qualifying agent for the company's contractor license, she brings her extensive experience and business acumen to the team, ensuring that each project is managed to the highest standards of professionalism.
